Job Description

We are assisting our client, a large medical provider in Northern New Mexico, in finding a temporary Revenue Cycle Business Specialist to join the team in their business office. The ideal candidate should have experience with medical billing, collections, and reimbursement services, and will ensure that all claims billed and collected meet all government-mandated procedures. Compensation

  • $21/hour

Responsibilities

  • Billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Government, Commercial, and third-party insurance

  • Insurance registration

  • Cash posting

  • Collections and Denials

  • Provide assistance to patients, physician offices, insurance companies, and other clients

  • Documents, forwards, and resolves incoming mail and correspondence

  • Responsible to ensure successful implementation of Governmental Regulatory Billing changes.

  • Timely and accurately post various payments and contractual allowances

  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Desired Profile

  • 2 years related experience preferred (medical billing, revenue cycle)

  • Able to work independently and seek guidance when necessary

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have experience with Adobe, Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook

  • Proficient keyboarding and 10-key skills

  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential situations

Location

  • Santa Fe, NM

  • Onsite initially.  Hybrid schedule possible after training 

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 

  • 8:00am-5:00pm (flexible between 7-5)

  • 6-12 month assignment
