Job Description
A well-respected medical malpractice, personal injury law firm that has been representing New Mexicans for the last 40 years, is looking to further expand their team with (2) competitive legal assistants driven to lend their ongoing contributions as the first line of contact supporting (4) Attorneys and (2) Paralegals. This position is a pivotal role as the travel support to the assigned trial Attorney in the needs to achieve case victories outside of Albuquerque when necessary.
Compensation:
$47,500 annually (exempt) + Benefits
- Employer paid health insurance
- 401(k) with 3% contribution (eligibility at 1 year of employment)

- Flexibility for nonexempt opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients, maintain office appearance
- Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages
- Distribute mail accordingly
- File management using a cloud-based system
- Filings with court, draft pleadings (templates provided)
- Manage client intakes: new case data collection, present to attorneys, schedule client follow-up
- Maintain client contracts and provide timely updates
- Supporting Attorneys during trials with equipment transportation and set-up, running errands, meal arrangements, and procuring any last-minute supplies
- Required travel with Attorney for out-of-town trials when necessary (exception to a couple of weeks a few times a year)
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s preferred
- No legal Experience Required
- Computer savvy (set-up, operating, troubleshooting)
- Effective listening skills
- Ability to adapt to each Attorneys personal working preferences
- Essential time management to meet deadlines for short- and long-term tasks
- Must be willing to travel when necessary for up to 2 weeks at a time
- Valid Driver’s License
Schedule:
- Monday thru Friday, 8a-5p
- Longer hours required during trails when necessary

Gabby (Avila) Vallejos is originally from El Paso, Texas but has spent most of her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While exercising her passion for the arts of culinary, she ran her own restaurant while attending Bellevue University for her BA in Business Management. She has an admirable background in sales, customer service, and administration, making her an excellent addition to the team.
Gabby primarily focuses on staffing and recruiting for our Temp and Temp-to-Hire Division. She finds connecting individuals with the right opportunities that utilize their abilities to be most fulfilling.
When not uniting New Mexico’s talent with top-notch employers, Gabby spends her spare time with her family and fur babies. She loves the outdoors all year round, enjoying nature’s beauty with her husband, camping, off-roading, and white-water rafting.
