Legal Assistant/Receptionist
Job Description
Are you seeking an opportunity as a Legal Assistant/Receptionist in Santa Fe? This esteemed law firm, specializing in administrative law, school law, general civil trial practice, personal injury law, and real estate law, is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We're looking for a candidate with a solid background in administrative support and exceptional organizational and communication skills. Previous legal experience would be a significant advantage, as the chosen candidate will collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to deliver essential support.
Compensation
$20-24/hour + Benefits
Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8-5
Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings related to various practice areas.

Maintain and organize case files, including filing documents, scheduling hearings, and managing deadlines.

Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.

Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and completeness.

Assist with tracking billable hours and expenses.

Provide administrative support such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.

Keep common areas of the office organized and presentable

Offer refreshments to guests

Run errands
Qualifications:

Must be a people person and enjoy interacting with others in a professional setting

Strong administrative support skills

Previous experience working as a legal assistant is preferred.

Familiarity with document preparation.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
