Temp-to-Hire | $22-24/hour
Do you have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills? Our client, one of the largest independently owned insurance companies in New Mexico, is seeking a Front Desk / Receptionist who will also have the opportunity to grow into a licensed Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) role.
This is an excellent career-track opportunity for someone who wants to enter the insurance industry. The company provides full support for licensing (exam fees, study materials, and paid study time).
Compensation & Benefits (upon direct hire)
- $22-24/hour depending on insurance experience
- Medical & Dental: company pays 70% of employee premium, 50% of dependents
- Basic life insurance & long-term disability: company pays 100%
- PTO: 10 sick days + 10 vacation days (3 weeks after 5 years)

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk: greeting visitors, answering phones, directing calls
- Perform a wide range of administrative tasks related to insurance operations, including policy renewals and new account support
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client questions and requests (e.g., certificates, documents)
- Maintain strong relationships with underwriters, producers, and clients to ensure smooth operations
- Assist producers with client accounting, reconciliation, and invoicing
- Maintain organized client files and support general office administration
- Provide back-up support to other team members as needed
Desired Profile
- High School Diploma required
- Previous customer service or reception experience in a professional environment
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, ability to learn new systems)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Outgoing, organized, and customer service oriented
- Willingness to travel to Albuquerque for initial training
- Willingness to take and pass the insurance exam after study period (covered by employer)
