We are accepting applications for a Temp-to-hire Human Resources Specialist on behalf of our client, a prominent organization dedicated to conservation and environmental sustainability. Assist Director and management with employee relations, providing counsel, recommendations, and coaching, and facilitating meetings.
Collaborate with the HR Director in reviewing and creating annual performance review documents for 2024.
Manage the distribution, collection, and storage of end-of-year documents such as performance reviews and leadership development plans.
Review and propose changes to performance management policies.
Attend unemployment hearings as necessary.
Analyze information to determine the need for investigations and conduct them as required.
Conduct weekly meetings with the HR Director.
Assist in handling union-related queries and contract negotiations.
Aid the HR Director in policy matters and negotiation preparations.
Engage in negotiation processes with employee and labor groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of state and federal employment laws and ability to interpret legal guideline
Adept at coaching managers for difficult conversations.
5+ years of professional HR experience, including three years in employee relations, or equivalent through training and education.
Santa Fe, NM
This is a hybrid/remote position. Must be able to attend in-person meetings as needed.
20 hours per week, within the hours of Monday - Friday, 8-5 until January.
