Job Description

The Hire Firm is searching for an experienced Database Administrator to work with this science and engineering company in Northern New Mexico. The Database Administrator will plan, design, implement, and maintain computerized database management systems throughout the entire system lifecycle. This is a full-time, long-term, temporary position, expected to last 2 years with the possibility of an extension and possible temp-to-hire opportunities. The position will be Hybrid from the Northern New Mexico region.

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain computerized database management systems

  • Collaborate with Systems Analysts and Developers to design data models

  • Establish and maintain security and integrity controls

  • Perform operational support, performance analysis, and tuning

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new technical solutions

Desired Profile:

  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience

  • Post-graduate degree and/or professional certification or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Linux Shell, and Python
  • Skills and demonstrated ability to translate technical terms
  • Advanced knowledge of relational or non-relational database management
  • Ability to pass a background check
