Job Description

We are assisting our client, a large organization in Northern New Mexico in their search for a Temporary Remote Communications Specialist 3. The assignment is expected to last three months and may be extended. Our ideal candidate is a mid to late-career SEO Writer. This position is remote and offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of web content for one of the world’s most esteemed organizations. This role will write the SEO as well as input it.

Compensation


$37-45/hour depending on experience
Paid sick leave

Responsibilities


- Collaborate with subject matter experts, communication specialists, and other web team members to produce and revise websites for internal and external purposes.
- Write new web content and revise existing content to align with SEO best practices and strategic communication objectives.
- Implement web pages in a Content Management System (CMS) while adhering to website template guidelines.
- Conduct on-page and off-page SEO activities, including keyword research and optimizing metadata.
- Utilize metrics from tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush to inform and adjust website implementation.

Desired Profile


- Bachelor's degree in web, communications, marketing, business, computer science, or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of proactive collaboration, masterful communication, and exceptional writing skills.
- Expert proficiency in web copywriting, website implementation, and SEO best practices.
- Mastery of digital communication standards, guidelines, and accessibility principles.
- Experience with web CMS, information architecture, and project management tools.
- This is a senior-level role requiring proactive, independent work ethic and the ability to identify and solve problems autonomously.
