Job Description

Do you have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills? Our client, one of the largest independently owned insurance companies in New Mexico, seeks an exceptional Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to join their team. The CSR will be responsible for supporting the Producers in providing excellent customer service to the commercial lines clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in this industry. You will be required to get licensed, but the company pays for the exam and study materials and provides time to study.  

Compensation & Benefits 

$18/hour + Benefits upon hire

  • Perform a wide range of administrative tasks related to policy renewals and new account acquisition

  • Serves as client contact by responding to questions, fulfilling requests, providing certificates, etc. 

  • Develops and maintains good relationships with underwriters and clients to facilitate retention of business. 

  • Processes on-going changes and endorsements. 

  • Maintains knowledge of insurance coverage, exposures, and client needs. 

  • Assists producers with client accounting and reconciliation. 

  • Prepares and sends invoices. 

  • Maintains current files and prepares files for storage. 

  • Provides back-up support for other Commercial Account Assistants and C/L Customer Service Agents on a short-term basis. 

Desired Profile

  • High School Diploma required

  • Previous customer service experience in a professional environment

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related software with the ability to pick up on new software and programs

  • Ability to read and comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write business correspondence

  • Basic mathematical skills as well as the ability to compute rate, ration, and percent.

  • Outgoing and customer service oriented

  • Must be willing to travel to Albuquerque for initial training

  • Must be willing and able to take and pass insurance exam after study period. Employer covers costs and provides study time while at work
