Technical Editor (Remote)
Job Description
We are assisting our client, a large company in Northern New Mexico, in their search for a remote Communications Specialist II. The Communications Specialist II is responsible for a wide variety of internal and external communications activities. This is a great opportunity to join a world-class writing and editing team while gaining valuable experience and exposure. This position is expected to last 2 years with the possibility of an extension.
Compensation:

$37-$39/hour

Responsibilities:
-
Format, edit and publish new and updated website content
-
Translate technical and complex content into web appropriate formats
-
Organize content into sitemaps that support campaigns
-
Collect website metrics from analytics software
-
Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders
-
Conduct research, investigate alternative solutions, and recommend solutions to improve services and products
-
Communicate program requirements and detailed elements to both technical and non-technical personnel
Desired Profile:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
5+ years’ related experience
-
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF

Strong foundation of the English language and technical editing
-
Ability to work as a team and independently
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Ability to pass a background check
